This
is a sweet Czech perfume bottle - approx 4 1/4" tall
- both the bottle and the stopper are clear beautiful
green - the dauber is broken off - the bottle has an etched
flower on each of the 4 sides with stems - while the stopper
has the same lines that mirrow the leaves on the stems
- in very nice shape - I found a tiny chigger on an edge
of the stopper - could be ground easily of course - tiny
tiny chiggers at the neck where the stopper has gone in
and out - signed so faintly that it might as well not
be there however it is clearly Czech ID=CZ11
This
is a OLD Czech perfume bottle - approx 4 1/2" tall
- acid signed in an oval on the bottom of the bottle -
both the bottle and the stopper are pink - in very nice
shape with no chips, cracks etc with the exception of
some minor dings on the top lip where the stopper has
gone in and out - of course they could be easily ground
- the sides of the bottle are "stairstepped"
- the stopper has a honeycomb effect ID=CZ12
This
clear crystal Czech perfume bottle measures 7.75"
tall and 3.5" wide and is in excellent condition
with the exception of a small chip on very end of top
of stopper. Both the stopper and bottom are clear crystal
glass. The stopper looks blue because of the blue light
in background. This could probably easily be ground
out. There are a couple of tiny fleabites around rim
where stopper fits into bottle, and one fleabite on
rim of body of perfume. The rest of the bottle is perfect
with no chips, cracks, or scratches. Stopper is original
to bottle and fits snugly into bottle, but dauber is
missing. Inside of bottle is completely clear with no
perfume residue or staining. This bottle is not acid
etched on the bottom, but is probably a Morlee and had
a paper sticker. ID=CZ13
This
beautiful pink perfume bottle was made in Czechoslovakia.
The pink bottle is intaglio cut with a frosted background
in a Art deco design on both sides. The frosted background
enhances the design done in a triangle. The design on
the sides of the bottle are also cut and frosted . The
pink stopper has a design cut on one side to compliment
the beauty of the bottle and sides are cut to look 3
dimensional. The bottle measures 3 1/4 inches and stopper
3 inches. The bottom of the stopper is chipped but could
be grounded. Due to the age, the stoppers often get
damaged. The rest of the bottle is in very good condition.
Bottom signed Made in Czechoslovakia in oval. ID=CZ2

Perfume Bottles and Boudoir Accessories,
by Jacquelyne Jones-North, Ken Leach, Ruth Forsythe, France
This
classic book has been out of print for five years, and
used copies have actually sold for $200 on the Internet.
Now this volume is back in print in a greatly expanded,
revised edition. All pages of the original edition have
been retained and more than 800 perfume bottles are shown
in color. The revised edition adds new essays by three
leading perfume bottle authorities. Ken Leach describes
America's fascination with perfume bottles and related
items (c. 1910-1950), with special attention to the role
played by Hollywood. Ruth Forsythe writes about recent
reproductions of Czech perfume bottles. Madeleine France
provides new historical perspectives and offers a hierarchy
of perfume bottle categories to aid the collector.
Accompanying these essays are 62 new photographs in spectacular
color. With the addition of this new material, the book
has expanded from 128 to 16 pages. An up-to-date 1999
price guide concludes the work. This book provides essential
information to collectors, and is a visual delight to
all lovers of beauty.
